For Ema, Emeralds began with something close to her heart — creating a place where her eldest daughter could grow in confidence, develop her skills, build friendships and feel part of a club where she truly belonged.

As one of Emeralds’ founding members, Ema played an important role in bringing the club to life. From the early conversations and our beginnings at the Masters Games to establishing Emeralds as an official netball club, her dedication, ideas and willingness to get involved helped build the foundations of what Emeralds is today.

Now serving as Club Secretary and coach of our Gems, Ema continues to contribute so much behind the scenes and on the court. Whether it's helping organise the club, supporting fellow committee members or encouraging our youngest players, she brings genuine care, commitment and enthusiasm to everything she does.

For Ema, Emeralds has always been about more than netball. It's about creating opportunities, building friendships and giving players and families somewhere they feel welcomed, supported and part of something special.
