Building confidence, celebrating progress and creating a love of the game.

For Nicole, coaching is about much more than teaching netball skills. It’s about inspiring confidence, encouraging growth and creating an environment where every player feels supported, included and excited to be part of the team. She loves watching players develop, celebrating their achievements and seeing the pride that comes when something they’ve been working towards finally clicks.

Nicole brings patience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for player development to her coaching. She believes every player has something to offer and that great coaching is about recognising individual strengths, building confidence and encouraging players to challenge themselves while still enjoying the game.

During Emeralds’ inaugural season, Nicole coached our NetSet Trinkets, introducing our youngest members to netball and helping them build the foundations of their skills, confidence and love for the sport.

A particularly proud moment came when Nicole was awarded the LDNA Dianne Donovan Senior Coaches Trophy. Receiving this recognition during Emeralds’ very first season was an incredible honour and further strengthened her passion for coaching.

Looking ahead, Nicole is passionate about continuing to grow and develop as a coach. She recognises that coaching is a constant learning journey and is eager to expand her knowledge, further develop her coaching techniques and gain new experiences that will help her become the best coach she can be. She is particularly interested in strengthening her understanding of player development and finding new ways to challenge, motivate and bring out the best in those she coaches.

For Nicole, coaching is not just about helping players improve — it’s about continually improving herself so she can give more back to the players and the club. Her goal is to keep learning, growing and creating positive experiences that help players build confidence, reach their potential and develop a lasting love for netball.
